HOW It STARTED…

Back in 2019, at the start of the pandemic, I was without work. I decided to making sandwiches and cakes to local businesses looking for something different and affordable.

After a while, I started to provide the same goodies to the local workforce, all from home, going around businesses, shops, surgeries and libraries.

About a year later, full of confidence, I made the jump and  opened “La Reine” in the aim to develop a great offering, focusing on homemade food, tasty breakfast and brunch dishes to the people of Bourton on the Water and visitors.

Why “La Reine”, half of our little family is french and my maiden name translate to “Queen” so that was a no brainer really.

We are continually trying to improve what is on offer at “La Reine” and the menu is continually changing. It is important to me that all the team is confident with what they are doing.
